Lynel is a sharp witted impassioned problem solver. Possessing an abundance of both brains and looks, she solves more problems during breakfast than most mortals face in a month.
Enrollment in life’s school of hard knocks began early for Lynel, starting with her humble childhood beginnings enlisted in the frontlines of the families struggling business of safe manufacturing. The sole female in a family of manly men, Lynel was tasked with managing the home, her grades, and the office.
Her father, a war hardened iron willed authority, empowered Lynel with the inspiration and freedom to tackle each problem as a personal challenge. “Never give in, and never give up!” was the motto the family lived and worked by each and every day.
While this “Can do” attitude was the driving force that led the family through life’s varied challenges and struggles, it was Lynel’s repressed but still budding womanly instincts that lead her to recognize the truth that aggressive male drive alone would not be sufficient to weather all of life’s storms. Humor and happiness were equally essential to maintain family cohesion during times of gloom.
So with this honorable aim in mind, Lynel tackled the challenge of infusing joy into the families otherwise serious activities with the invention of “gag time”. Though skilled in the art of metal and mechanics, her burly brothers proved infantile in the art of foolery, each day falling easy victim to even the simplest of Lynel’s practical jokes. As an aside, Lynel developed powerful running muscles to compliment her growing sense of humor. Her best defense to calm the wrath of an enraged sibling was to stay ahead long enough for him to simmer down and find humor in the humiliation that occurred at his expense. Though outwardly trivial, it was these lighthearted antics that kept the families spirits up during even the most trying times until their hard efforts eventually met with success.
At times when the family business was struggling, Lynel would work part time at a local vet clinic to earn extra money. This is where she first developed her long standing love for animals, an ongoing passion of hers to this day. Her first pet, a spunky Labrador she voluntarily trained through Canine Companions for Independence to assist the impaired, also became her best friend. Dog’s have been an essential part of her life ever since.
While engaged full time in the operations of her family business at Brown Safe, Lynel also managed to earn a Bachelors of Science degree in nutrition with a minor in biology from San Diego State University.

Shawn is the yin to Lynel’s yang. While Lynel can balance the yearly corporate tax statement, negotiate a new shipping contract, and chew gum at the same time…Shawn can, win a motorized barstool race at the neighborhood rally.
Well known for his ability to remain fully absorbed for days engaged in a single complex task as the world falls into chaos around him, Shawn relies heavily on Lynel’s uncanny powers of multitasking to maintain order(and fresh underwear) so that he may stay committed to solving the world’s most formidable mysteries.
While Lynel was spending her years of youth feverishly entrenched in entrepreneurial endeavors, Shawn spent his hours grueling over endeavors of a more personal nature… like the construction of car assisted skateboard launch ramps.
One, actually many, have noted it was something of a miracle that Shawn actually survived his youthful years, let alone made something of a name for himself… But on closer inspection, one learns that even during his excessively ornery years there was a trace of purpose in his seemingly mindless madness. You see, Shawn wasn’t just another thrill seeker eager to gain his next fix, much like his spirited future wife, he was in fact driven by an addiction towards personal growth.
Once the dust of his youth settled and the college years rolled along, Shawn had already gained a lifetime of harrowing and mind changing experiences. Having already consumed his fill of crazy, Shawn set his sights squarely on lofty long term ambitions. With the same zest he honed during his rebellious youth, Shawn launched headlong into the world of scholarly wisdom, toppling tests and crushing class curves in his pursuit of pure knowledge.
Shawn rapidly developed a strong understanding of computers in the then new medium of computer graphic imaging.
Recognizing strong opportunities in game development, Shawn began his first position within the video game industry in 1994. Rising rapidly through the ranks of game developers, Shawn achieved a high ranking position as Design Director at a large development studio known as Shiny Entertainment. During his ten years as director, Shiny Entertainment remained at the forefront of video game design.
The company’s greatest success came from collaboration with the Oscar winning directors of the Matrix Trilogy “The Wachowski Brothers”. Shiny and the Brothers designed the first movie and game tie-in to achieve critical success. The ensuing movie and video game series successfully blended the film and interactive mediums into a single cohesive world and story. Both movie and game sales set record profits.
In late 2006 Shawn made the decision to leave his position at Shiny to pitch in full force with his wife’s budding safe business, along with developing other new projects he never found time for, like Ruff Ride… and he’s never looked back.
During their scant moments of free time, Shawn enjoys quality adventuring with his steadfast soul mate and wife. Together they indulge in numerous outdoor activities, often taking their genius little one in tow. Their most popular pastimes include kart racing, surfing, rock climbing, combat shooting, downhill mountain biking, and snowboarding.
