The beginning of our story is a familiar one.
Like many out there, our ride along life’s road has been a bit ruff, chock full of unexpected twists, drops, and potholes to ensure our full attention. It was in fact during an especially ruff stretch when work forced us to live far apart, that we made our initial discovery.  In an effort to boost each other’s spirits, we began scouring the internet for inspirational quotes that we’d include in our email chats. While we found the profound quotes inspiring, it was the hilarious quotes that that really won us over.  We found the addition of a picture increased the quotes potency, providing the additional oomph to elevate a quote from funny to downright hilarious. During these simple correspondences a deep truth became strikingly clear… laughter changes your focus.
   
A good laugh instantly frees one from their funk, replaces fear with laughter, allowing one to transcend their gloom. We learned that humor is more than a nicety, it allowed us to find novel solutions to hopeless problems. Laughter is a critical component of any triumph!

We became compelled to share our new understanding with others facing difficult times.  So we began to conceive of a way to spread the word. While humorous quotes from inspiring people were powerful, these messages still required a good delivery vessel, one that would maximize the message’s effect.

Then one evening our lazy dog was spooked into a defensive stance by his own fart… and it hit us. Of course! What better means of delivering these truths than through man’s best friend, a trusted ally and one of the most bountiful sources of happiness in existence.
So, after many long laborious hours of effort to this end, Ruff Ride was formed…  A potent cure-all packed with powerful TRUTHS aimed squarely at replacing the fear that threatens our resolve with life giving laughter. A remedy to raise us high above our worldly woes…and to laugh at them as only man and pooch can.

So, take delight in these witticisms. If even for a moment, you gain the healing enlightenment that pure laughter brings…we are amply rewarded.
